Kids always dream to be independent, even at their young age. Sometimes, they will ask you if they can clean their respective rooms all by themselves and decide on the arrangements of the things inside their own rooms. Also, as they grow up, part of their “partial independence” is taking a bath alone with their own choice of kid’s shampoos and soaps.
There are children that already knew how to prepare simple dishes especially for their snacks. They are aware of what the ingredients would be needed as well as the step-by-step procedures to prepare a particular simple dish. Add to it the confidence that you give to them every time in the kitchen by allowing them to assist you in the preparation of food items that will be served on the table.

Butterfly Bites
This is one of the simplest snack recipes that your kids can make even among by themselves! They just need a cheese that will be spread on several celery stick. Afterwards, they can take 2 pieces of pretzels and place it at the middle of the celery stick. They can add raisins to the body as well as smaller pretzel sticks to form an antenna.
That is the butterfly that they will enjoy biting!
Toad Face Snack
In this kids’ recipe, you will need some rice cakes or pop corn cakes, several grapes, raisins, red licorice lace which is 2 inches in length, and peanut butter. All your kids have to do is to spread the peanut butter to the rice cake and add some grapes to form the eyes of the toad with raisins as the pupils and for the nostrils of the toad. Next is they will form the red licorice lace to form a smile on the toad’s face. They can make several toads out of the rice cakes available and enjoy eating the toad away!
Barbequed Burger
Another recipe for your kids that they will surely love is the barbequed burger. They will need some form of assistance from you in gathering and preparing for the following ingredients:
• 415 grams mashed sanitarium burger
• Half-cup of oats
• Two tablespoons of plain wholemeal flour
• One finely-chopped onion
• Half teaspoon of dried marjoram
• Quarter teaspoon of salt
• Half cup grated cheese (low fat)
• One lightly beaten egg
• One tablespoon parsley, chopped
• One and a half tablespoons of oil
Let you kids combine all the ingredients except the oil and flour to a big bowl. Have them divide the mixture into twelve equivalent portions. Shape divided mixtures into burgers and let them toss it in the flour. Afterwards, you may heat the oil in the barbeque and later cook the burgers in low heat until it is golden brown in color.
Use the aforementioned kid’s recipes and let them experience how to make prepare foods out of their own hands.
